But, if the leaves are still on it, not falling down, you have a chance. Soak the entire container in a bucket or sink of water for ten minutes, to saturate the soil. Then let it drain. Don't water again until the soil feels dry when you dig your finger in to about the first joint. Overwatering at this stage could also kill it. When it starts to show a bit of green growth, take off whatever leaves you can brush off lightly with your hand.. Once it has visible new whole leaves, remove the rest of the dead ones.<br><b>References : </b><br> You don't say what kind of tree it is.
