Bonsai plant beginner?

I'm seeking to buy a bonsai plant to keep in my room, we don't know anything about these plants. we would similar to any recommendation upon starting out with a bonsai plant, what types, as well as methods of growing. Also if any one knows where to get them in hk. thanks.
