General Care : The Serissa is an indoor plant. It needs as much light as possible and should be kept in a well-aired area where there is plenty of light and a temperature between 13-18 degrees C (55-65 degrees F). It should be kept away from drafts and kept outside during the summer in partial shade.

It can be an indoor plant, but it needs growth lights to maintain its structure if it doesn't get any sun.

Serissa foetida is technically a shrub and is native to SE Asia. It is rated to USDA Z9. So, if you are in zone 9 or higher, it will be fine outdoors. If you are in a lower zone, then it will die in winter.
Serissa foetida enjoys partial shade when grown outdoors. If you are going to keep it inside, be sure it gets AT LEAST a half day of sun.
It's a great bonsai plant because of the small leaf size and it responds well to pruning. It has cute little flowers when in bloom.
Here is a link with some growing tips. I hope it's helpful to you. Best of luck.

but it can be difficult to maintain. It has a tendency to drop its leaves at the first sign of stress – too little water; too much water; too little light; too cold; too hot; just being moved to a new location, etc. Never water serissa when it is without leaves.
Hardiness:Determine your hardiness zone to see if you can leave it outdoors.
