And as for the "Bonsai" sold in stores don't waste your time and money on them as they are often dead on arrival due to the fact that they get no real care in the store, and are mass produced for fast sale. One way to check the quality of these "Bonsai" is to tap the surface of the gravel it is displayed in. If its shiny and one solid piece then don't buy the tree. Its been glued into it pot to look good and will not get water and air to its roots when watered!
