Need to identify small indoor fir tree?
Posted by Bonsai Care on Jan 12, 2009
I have a tiny fir tree indoors–about 2 1/2 feet tall. we can't appear to brand what just it is, that we need to do in sequence to take caring of it. The reduce branches keep browning as well as parching out. we trim them off as well as it seems excellent as well as proud for a while. Then a month later, a reduce limbs brownish-red as well as dry up again. Any ideas of web sites to visit? we have googled as well as don't find anything about indoor pines or firs solely things upon bonsai, etc… that this is zero like.

Sounds kind of like a Norfolk Pine. I've had a couple of them and have had the same problems you explain. I also couldn't find much info about caring for them. I THINK they might do better in indirect light, and I think they don't do well if given too much water. Good luck – I wish I had some answers for you!

I can't do a link….forget how, sorry. describe the tree in detail and they can help. It sounds like a nutrition problem. How much sun is it getting? It may need to be repotted as well. Might not have enough nutrients or nutrients of the right kind.
