You need to descibe the tree better.

I can't do a link….forget how, sorry. describe the tree in detail and they can help. It sounds like a nutrition problem. How much sun is it getting? It may need to be repotted as well. Might not have enough nutrients or nutrients of the right kind.

the name is Araucaria or Norfolk Island Pine you have had problems with the lower limbs because they need more light

Sounds kind of like a Norfolk Pine. I've had a couple of them and have had the same problems you explain. I also couldn't find much info about caring for them. I THINK they might do better in indirect light, and I think they don't do well if given too much water. Good luck - I wish I had some answers for you!
