a maple needs to go through fall and lose its leaves and go dormant otherwise it will die from lack of rest. if you want an indoor bonsai get a tropical tree, ficus are great indoor bonsai but still would rather being outdoor in the summer. with proper care the little ones can stay little, research "mame bonsai" on the web

A tree is a tree. It should be kept outside ALL year round. Bringing it indoors can be more stressful than good, it's like taking it to a warmer country which is shrouded in darkness like a cave…

Have the seedlings got identical leaves to the maple? If not they are probably weeds.

Its a bonsai, so it wont get much bigger. iT DOESNT NEED MUCH WATER OR SUNLIGHT, (caps lock, sry). Its pretty much an indoor platn can live outside. Basicly, chose which is better for your decorationg scheme.
