What should I do with my bonsai?

Posted by Bonsai Care on Dec 9, 2008

I only paid for a Japanese maple bonsai today. Has anybody had a single of these as well as have been there any special hints or tricks which we should know about. we don't wish it to die similar to many of my alternative plants.
Also, will a Japanese maple remove a leaves in autumn/winter?

I have a Bonsai tree. we have had it for 3 years now. In a summer time we put it outward by a tiny underbrush we have in a front of a house. we H2O it continually in a summer, as well as afterwards when a continue starts removing cold we take it as well as put it in a garage nearby a window. we don't H2O it all winter. Then when open comes as well as a temp goes up we move it out of a garage as well as soak it in H2O for about fifteen minutes. That is what we do as well as cave has been starting clever for a 3 years now.

I have never seen a maple bonsai tree—they are a type of pine not a purple maple. If it is a maple yes it will lose it's leaves.

I water it regularly in the summer, and then when the weather starts getting cold I take it and put it in the garage near a window. I don't water it all winter. Then when spring comes and the temp goes up I bring it out of the garage and soak it in water for about 15 minutes. That is what I do and mine has been going strong for the three years now.
